Shh! It is a sneak peak.....

A few months ago I was blessed with an opportunity to become a Creative Teaching Press Exclusive Blogger who gets a first look and insider information.  How exciting!  I was just given insider information on some of Creative Teaching Press’ new Back To School products! Here’s sneak peek at what’s coming out. You get to see it from me first!

Personally, I think Gnomes are weird, but this GNOM Math Common Core book looks great to help
our children learn various geometry, operations, number sense, and measurement ideas and practice.

Who doesn't love chevron?  I think this is an adorable Lesson Plan Book.  You can never start to early to begin your plans for next year.

Be sure to stop by again next week, when I will reveal more new products from Creative Teaching Press!

Now, hop on over and visit my friend Holly at Mrs. Ehle's Kindergarten Connections to see another sneak peak of more CTP items.

Stay tuned for what else is to come from Creative Teaching Press.

Almost Time and Giveaway

This is my last week on medical leave and I am ready to return to my class and to my kiddos!  I have went in a few times to see them, but I have still missed them like crazy!  I had all these plans to work on plans and TpT products while I was off, but I really didn't get motivated.  Oh well, I think I am going to spend this week shopping (because I couldn't over Christmas break) and mentally preparing myself for my return.

Have you seen this giveaway happening right now over at

Stop by and enter to win!  I know she would love for you to!

I will be back later this week to blog about our school's Math Night.  It's going to be so much fun!

I feel like I am a complete blogger failure.  I really want to blog at least a few times a month, but in all reality, I am lucky to blog every few months.  Not what I expected when I jumped into the Land of Blogging.  Please accept my humble apology!

I thought I would start 2014 off with linking up with Farley's Currently for January.

If you notice, "Wanting" is to be able to walk, lol.  I had foot surgery at the beginning of December.  I had a cast on for 3 weeks and last week I got it off and was put in a walking boot.  I couldn't put any weight on it until this week and I am only allowed 10 minutes every few hours.  I am not allowed to go back to school until February.  I joked around with others about enjoying a break from my needy class, but in all reality, I have missed them terribly!  I am a real control freak and I wonder what they are doing all the time.

During my time off, you would think I would be working on new TpT units.  I wish I could!  I just feel like my creative ideas are gone.  I hope I get them back soon!  I think when my boys go back to school next week, I will try to plan things that I will be teaching when I get back to school.  I will be stuck at home because I can't drive yet.  I will admit that my afternoon naps have become very enjoyable.

I hope everyone's 2014 has started off great!

Thankful, Stressed, and Ready to Shop

I hope each of you had a very Happy Thanksgiving today!  For those of you that braved the cold and the crowds tonight - I hope you found everything you were shopping for.  I wanted to take a moment to say that I am thankful for my salvation, my family and friends, my health, and for all those wonderful bloggers/TpTers that make my life just a little bit easier.  I am very thankful for my group of kiddos in my class this year too.

My family did something a little different this year.  Instead of cooking, we went out and ate.  We enjoyed the time together and there was no clean-up.  The only down side to this is that you do not have any leftovers to nibble on through the rest of the week.

I have not blogged in a while.  Every time I say I am going to blog more, something always causes me not to.  I think I am just overwhelmed with school and all the changes we have made.  It has been driving me nuts.  Now, I am having surgery on my foot on Wednesday and I will be out of the classroom for 8 weeks.  Talk about STRESSED!  I am a very OCD person, who has everything in the classroom put in a certain spot and I do things a certain way.  To think that a total stranger is going to be in my class, with my stuff, teaching my kiddos is really disturbing.  As of Tuesday afternoon, my principal still hadn't gotten someone to be my certified sub.  There is a chance I may not even get to meet this person before he/she is turned loose in my room with my kids.......this really bothers me and I am going to have to find a way to cope with it.  Not to mention I am going to be missing all the Christmas/Winter activities.  When I told my kiddos on Tuesday, there were some tears, some worried faces, and a lovely little one that told me she did not want me to be her teacher ever again.  She crawled under my reading table and refused to come out.  I was heart broken.  Please remember my class in your prayers over the next eight weeks.

I hope you have your TpT Wish Lists ready for the sale coming up on Monday and Tuesday.  I am putting my entire store on sale for 20% off.  Enjoy shopping!
